In Its Own Fashion: Heliopolis University Congratulates SEKEMs Founder

Arts and music filled the air on the evening right before Dr. Ibrahim Abouleish’s birthday. The Heliopolis University for Sustainable Development hosted an event to celebrate the 80th birthday of the SEKEM visioner. High-profile guests including the German and the Austrian Ambassadors, Julius Georg Luy and Dr. Georg Stillfried, attended the event next to SEKEM friends, worldwide supporters and partners.

At the main hall of the Business Department, the SEKEM Founder’s companions enjoyed an enriched artistic show: Dr. Rama Mani, the founder of Theatre of Transformation Academy presented the “Transformative Power of Vision”, which got a great applause from the audience. Like Dr. Abouleish, the Peace and Security Specialist as well as Poet and Performance Artist Rama is a Councilor of the World Future Council. Also, she is the Co-Founder of Rising Women Rising World.

The influential atmosphere created by Rama’s words, was followed by the Cairo Celebration Choir’s music tones. Nayer Nagui, the musical director and founder of the orchestra, sent his best wishes for Dr. Abouleish’s birthday with musical symphonies resounded through the hall. The maestro highlighted how SEKEM has always been a welcoming place for the choir since its early beginnings in 2000.

Moreover and together with Dr. Abouleish, the visitors had a tour over the Campus and got insights into the departments and faculties of the Heliopolis University.
