Since its foundation SEKEM cooperates with other institutions, people and networks in order to work on its vision on a wider scale. In the meantime all SEKEM institutions are involved to several development projects under the Sekems’ Development Foundations.

The three-year project, CLUSTER for a data driven ruraL sustAinable tourism for mediterranean,aims to empower SMEs in rural areas operating in sustainable tourism in Egypt.
In collaboration with 7 partners in the mediterranean area and backed by 6 associated partners from across 7 countries, the EU funded project will focus on the digitization and use of data as atool to foster the development of new businesses, as well as the promotion of new professionalopportunities in sustainable rural tourism.
As climate action is becoming a necessity all over the world, Sekem Development Foundation – SDF is the Egyptian partner participating in the 3-year Interreg NEXTMED project NBS4MED, Nature based solutions for climate resilient Mediterranean cities, which explores climate adaptation strategies and practical applications across Mediterranean countries.
The project integrates environmentally sustainable solutions in urban areas, where dense population and buildings require adaptive solutions; that strengthen climate resilience while improving livability.
